Jennifer Davis Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, UKCP MBACP

Arranging a first meeting

It is not uncommon to feel unsure or hesitant about seeking help. The initial appointment is an opportunity for us to meet each other, discuss your needs and explore whether therapy might be helpful to you. There is no commitment to ongoing work at this stage.
This work is most effective when client and therapist have a good relationship.  If we are not a good fit, I can recommend other therapists for you to try.

Next steps

If you decide you would like to continue, we will discuss and agree a regular day and time to meet each week. The regularity of your sessions is an important element of psychotherapy, with the continuity and structure of your appointments providing a holding / container for our work, together - and your own emotional process in that.

Thank you for helping me see the rainbows. My life feels full of positivity, hope and me! I am so grateful for your insight, patience and incredible sensitivity in our path together over the last year. I have a much greater understanding of my relationships, habits, scars and great bits. I won't forget you and the discoveries we made together.
